The original - now in brilliant primary colors! This compact set offers convenience, great value, and an extensive range of knitting possibilities. Easy to organize, with a place for everything…but everything in its place only if you’re not working on five projects at once!
The shortest cable length (17" from needle tip to tip) is fluid and a pleasure to knit with, which is generally unheard of in needle sets. The shortest lengths of other sets start at 20", and yet still tend to be stiffer and harder on the hands than the Denise set. Since the 17" length is such a convenient size to use (great for hats!), it makes the Denise set really stand out in versatility and knitting comfort.
Denise needles are made from resin. In terms of smoothness when knitting, they are not as smooth as metal needles, which is the main reason one might consider a metal-tipped set. On the other hand, they're still quite smooth (in fact smoother than bamboo needles), and they won't have the ice-cold feel of metal when the weather is cool.
It is a set of needles with a range of needle sizes and lengths. A kit contains "needle tips" in various sizes. A pair of tips is attached to either end of a cable, to create the most versatile type of needle there is: a "circular" knitting needle. You can use the needle for circular knitting, regular flat knitting, and even for small-diameter circular knitting, although you may prefer to purchase double pointed needles (DPN's) for that.
Kits like this are a money saver from buying individual needle sizes. There are 10 tip sizes, but since you need different length cable needles for various circular projects, this kit actually replaces more than 40 different circular needle sizes...for a fraction of the cost. But above all, a kit is a convenient, portable way to always have the needle size you need on hand! Highly recommended, I do most of my knitting on my set. (Okay, sets...I own more than one!)

I'm a new knitter, and have been intrigued by this set ever since watching Amy's introductory knitting video. I decided it made sense to invest in an interchangeable needle set even this early on. It's crazy how much I've already spent on straight needles after knitting only a couple of months. This seemed like the best set for a beginner, and a great value. I really like how everything is well organized in the case. The needles are lightweight and feel good in my hands. My fingers don't hurt when I knit with the Denise needles like they do with my bamboo straight needles.
I was happy to order from Amy and Sheldon, as I've essentially learned to knit from their site. I had a question about the set, and I received an email response within an hour or so. I ordered the set that same day, on a Thursday and received it on Saturday. You can't ask for better service than that.
I will probably purchase the comby Knitter's Pride set at some point, as I'm interested in the magic loop technique, but one thing at a time. I'm very happy with my Denise set right now.

This is my first interchangeable knitting needle set and I am in love. I am an intermediate knitter and found my bamboo straights to be too sticky anymore and was ready for circulars. First, I tried Addi turbos. The tip was too blunt, the cable was all over the place and the needle was too slick for me. Then, I tried Chiaogoo Red Lace. The tip was excellent, the cable was excellent and although the needle was less slick than the Addi's, it was still too slick for me. Finally, I tried these Denise needles. These needles feel so good in my hands, almost weightless. The tips are excellent and I knit faster now because the needle is smoother than bamboo but not so slick that I would lose my stitches. Changing needles sizes or cables is as easy as 1-insert and 2-twist! The cables unkink easily with warm water and yes, you can do magic loop. I suggest you purchase the 40" cable from Knitdenise.com and watch their magic loop tutorial so that you can see the right way to create the 2 loops with Denise cables. I am a forever Denise fan!

I recently purchased this set as I wanted to have all different sizes of needle in one convenient case. I was a bit unsure as I have only ever used straight needles. I am so happy now to be knitting with my interchangeable needles and I can't wait to start expanding my knitting know-how in order to use every size! At less than $5.00 per needle with the necessary lengths of cable to complete just about any knitting project, you simply can't go wrong with this kit!
