tried all 3 needles and liked all but the cubic. Initially one of the cubic needles had stripped threads and wouldn't tighten but just turned & turned, especially while knitting. I did get a quick replacement from this site, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, while waiting for the replacement, I took my knitting on a plane trip and while it was in my checked bag on the plane both needles broke at the metal join due to the baggage handling (rough!). So now I have a new needle, but only one as the other two are broken off. BooHoo

I've had my sampler for about a month now and have used each needle at least once on small projects. They're very very nice. Square needles are pretty nice and round ones (metal and wood) are too. Nothing to complain about except I can't decide which type to buy more of.
The joins are fine, the cables are flexible and the only complaint I can come up with is that they're not made in the USA. Since most needles aren't (except for the very expensive and long wait-listed Dyakraft) that's really not as issue.
I like the wooden needles better than the laminated multicolor ones sold by that other company. I am not 100% certain but these appear to be real (solid) wood, not something I have to worry about delaminating which I have had happen to me before.

So appreciate the chance to have a go at the different types of needles and see just how different they are. Thank you!

I was excited to purchase this sampler set before making a decision on which complete set to buy.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Cubics and I think they would be wonderful for sock knitting. They were very comfortable in my hands.
I also liked the Dreamz, but the NOVA WERE MY FAVORITE with the yarn flowing easily along the needle.
The joins are very smooth, and I did not have any trouble with the connections coming loose. The cords are much more flexible than other brands I've tried.

I already have complete sets of Knitter's Pride, the Novas and the Dreams. I love them!
So, when I saw this offer, I jumped on it. If you bought these needles and cords one by one, it would certainly be considerably more $$$. Not to mention shipping! I always need extras of certain size needles and cords, and this offer was a great way to stock up. Plus, I have never tried the Cubics. What a perfect opportunity! I love Knitter's Pride Needles, and I love that knittinghelp.com offered this great deal!
Thanks!

Knitters Pride sample:
I would rate this a 5, but I first need to give these needles one more try with some "assistance". I had a problem with them becoming unscrewed during my test project. I did use the tightening bar, but since I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, I found it hard to twist the bar tight enough. Again, as long as I can get my husband to ensure my needles are tightened properly, I'll come back and give it a "5"; as long as they do NOT come unscrewed again. I do love the way they feel and the life-line hole will so save steps that are difficult for someone with my health condition. Kudos to the company selling this product. Best Regards

Thanks to the Knitting Help.com staff who saw my earlier review about a needle tip breaking. They sent me a replacement tip even though the return period had expired.

I gave these 4 stars only because I am still trying to figure out which set I like best. I liked all three kinds of tips included in the kit. I'm leaning toward the Dreamz - I like the feel of the wood and how yarn feeds across them. I really like the idea that I can knit virtually anything with interchangeables.

I bought the combo set in May, but haven't used the needles extensively on a project until now. I started on a sweater using the Cubix tips. Two rounds into the sweater and the wooden tip broke off where it joins the metal connector! Sadly, I'm already past the return date.
I like the idea of the kit, but if I buy the full set I think I'll go with the metal tips.

I purchased this set in anticipation of buying a complete set for Christmas and thought this was a great idea to help me choose the needles that were right for me. I've knitted with all three models and still can't make up my mind - they're all great! Yarn glides on the surface of the Nova needles making knitting fast and smooth. I didn't know how I was going to like the square Cubics needles, and was pleasantly surprised to find them extremely comfortable in the hands. I like the surface friction of both the Cubics and Dreamz needles for yarns that are what I call slippery. They're smooth but not too smooth and not as rough as the Clover brand bamboo needles I have. The cables were very flexible and light weight yet strong and the join very smooth. This is a great set for the price and I look forward to purchasing a complete set if I can just make up my mind on which one I like best. I would have rated this product 5 stars but the Dreamz needles arrived broken, but was not noticable until I took them out of the packaging which consisted of a thickly padded envelope inside a cardboard package. Knitting Help promptly replaced the needles and the new ones work great.
