With Inside Intarsia you will learn:

  • Beginning basics of intarsia, such as how to read a colorwork chart, join new yarns into your work, orient stitches properly while weaving in your yarn ends, and more
  • Knitting intarsia techniques for knitting intarsia in the round, plus how to convert knitting patterns with an example of an argyle sock pattern knit both flat and in the round
  • How to fix common intarsia knitting mistakes, such as forgetting to link yarns when switching colors, what to do if you use the wrong color or drop a stitch, and more

Amy says: This DVD is fantasic. Anne Berk covers several things not covered in my free tutorial, including how to knit intarsia in the round! That's right, everyone's always said it cannot be done in the round, but indeed it can. I know of three methods, and the one she teaches is the only one that is truly perfect, seamless, and unlimited in application. She includes lots of discussion on ways to keep your ends from tangling; yarn and splicing methods; weaving in the ends and how to minimize them; chart pattern designs that avoid weaving ends and are more fun to knit; and more. She even discusses knitting argyle socks both flat and in the round. If you're getting into intarsia, you'll be very grateful to have watched this DVD!
